best value for money
I just bought my second set. for the money this is the best value. the bar is supposed to hold 500 lb max capacity, well it bends at 500 lb during my squat. but overall it is a good product. I bought mine at dunhams store at $189.99 with coupon.

Bad casting on a few plates
The weights are nice but I Also had a casting problem. I can't get my 35s on the bar because it was casted wrong nor do I have the tools to fix it. Other than that it's great.

Good value weight set
Value weight set. 300# including 45# straight bar. Plates are a bit rough around the edges, straight bar is chrome plated and very nice. Good value.

Pretty Good Weights
The only thing I do not like about these weights is that they are heavy which shows me how weak I really am. They seem to be very good weights. The casting is pretty good....only little defects here and there. The finish is pretty good too. The bar is black and 7' long. The ends on my bar was a little stiff. A little WD-40 and they are spinning fine. Overall, I would buy these again.

I haven't had a problem with chipping as I am not rough in tossing the plates around when I switch them out and the coating seem
I ordered this set for my husband and here's his review. First of all I would start by saying, you get what you pay for. The weights came all at one time but with the black bar and not the Chrome as everyone else has complained about. In regards to the weights not fitting the bar, I didn't have that issue. All weights fit the bar but be prepared to see uneven looking plates (namely the 10 and 5lb plates). There were complaints about the roughness of the weights scraping the bar and leaving shavings on the floor. I sprayed wd40 on it and I haven't had a problem. I work out beginning with 135 so I hardly have to worry about removing the 45lb plate. That is until my wife works up to using the bar. Until then the oil seems to work. As far as the true pounds of everything, I'm not obsessed with knowing that every plate is the true size. My max is 225 and this seems to compare to what I feel when I work out at my gym. I haven't had a problem with chipping as I am not rough in tossing the plates around when I switch them out and the coating seems fine with me as its left a lot to be desired by other buyers. I don't doubt that it's been a roll of the dice with some who have ordered this set but if your about simply working out and not showing off your set (believe me, I would like to but I don't have $700) then this should be a great beginners set. I have been excited to get my first home set after buying my first home so the combination of the two has lowered my standards a bit. Until I can afford the $700 set this works out great for me
